Prost! Third Annual Xenia Oktoberfest Saturday, October 14, 12 - 10 p.m.

Break out your steins, it’s almost fall, and we are pleased to announce Xenia Oktoberfest will be held Saturday, October 14, from 12-10 pm on S. Detroit Street between Second and Third streets. Free concerts featuring local bands will be set up in front of Devil Wind Brewery; food trucks and local breweries and spirits will be available for purchase. No personal coolers allowed.

“We are excited about this year’s line up,” says Dave Hatfield of Devil Wind Brewery; bands include “Common Ground “at noon, “Nick Mitchell and the Devil Wind House Band” at 2 pm, “Filthy Heathens” will play at 3:45 pm, at 5:30 we will have “Ryan Adams and the No-good SOBS” and “New Old Fashioned” will finish the festivities playing at 7:30 pm. Seating is limited so please feel free to bring a chair.

Beer o’clock begins at noon, highlighting beers from local breweries and wine from Caesar Creek Vineyards, and can be purchased either at Devil Wind or at the beer tent on the street. Festivals and food go together, and this year’s food trucks include Schmidt’s sausage truck, Yummy Gyro, Phatty Wagon, and Pa’s Pork.

Perry Wyatt from Devil Wind will DJ and host three contests throughout the day. Festival contests include a Stein Hold contest at 3:15, Braut Toss at 5:15, and Chicken Dance off at 7:15 pm. “We may not be Munich but you will have the most un-beer-lievable Oktoberfest!” says Blair Davis, co-chair of the Xenia Oktoberfest committee. We are combining our festival with the city of Xenias Harvest; so, save the date and join us for lots of fun, merriment, music, dancing, contests, cold beer and other beverages, food and more!

This year's festival will be held in conjunction with the City of Xenia's annual Harvest on Main event. Harvest on Main will take place from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. in Xenia's historic downtown and will feature an outdoor craft show, small petting zoo, straw maze, food trucks, live pumpkin carving, a cornhole tournament, children's activities, pie eating contest, Halloween 'Monster Bash', and a display of harvest vehicles from the Old Timers Club.

We can't wait to see you there!
