Xenia Community Schools Hall of Honor 2023

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation will be recognizing the Class of 2023 Hall of Honor inductees on April 22nd at Tecumseh Elementary School. The event will include a dinner, induction ceremony and a silent auction. The Hall of Honor plaques display is located at the entrance to Xenia High School. The display honors those who have, as former students, community members and/or educators, achieved success in their careers, served the community and the schools and are role models for current and future generations of Xenia children. The display also serves as a motivator for students to realize the value of the education they are receiving, as well as their responsibility to make a significant difference in their world.

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation invites the community to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2023 Hall of Honor inductees:

Tamara Bartley, XHS Class of 1990, XCS Board of Education, Educational Leader, Community Volunteer

Greg Delaney, XHS Class of 1983, Successful Businessman, Recovery and Spiritual Leader

Tom Kelley, Jr., XHS Class of 1976, Public Servant, United Way Leader, Role Model

Kenneth E. Riggsby, XHS Class of 1979, Servant, Xenia Fire Chief, Role Model

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation provides grants for classroom and teacher projects. Almost $25,000.00 was awarded for the 2022-2023 school year. Funded projects are geared towards enriching student learning. Some applications represent district-wide initiatives. All the grants for Xenia Community Schools’ students and teachers are beyond what regular school funding can provide.

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation’s online auction, as part of this event, will close April 22, 2023. Proceeds from the auction will be used to fund classroom grants. The auction can be accessed at: https://www.32auctions.com/XCSF2023 . Many of the auction items are donated by school staff, XCSF Board of Directors and local businesses.

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation is an Ohio non-profit 501(C) (3) corporation. Gifts made to the XCSF qualify as tax deductible charitable contributions. The Board of Directors includes both local residents and staff of the Xenia Community Schools District.
