Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) - What You Should Know

This Thursday evening, March 25th, the Xenia City Council will vote to accept, or not, the application for a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) in Xenia. The XACC Board of Directors supports this application and has provided the City with an endorsement letter stating this. The application is very thorough and explains what the DORA allows and what it does not, the boundaries of the area and roles and rights of not only the business that provide alcoholic beverages but the other retail and service businesses located in the proposed area as well.

What it does not tell you is the positive financial and economic impact the approval of this proposal could bring to Xenia and the impact it has had on other local communities such as Wilmington, Fairborn, Springfield, Middletown and the Oregon District in Dayton. Many of the downtown businesses have voiced their support and approval as well.  will recognize the huge impact this could have on bringing more people to Xenia. More people brings more revenue, brings more community events, brings more business, brings …. 

Now it’s your turn! We need your voice heard before Xenia City Council meets and votes this Thursday, March 25 on the proposed DORA District.
