Network Cable Installer needed:

Digital Watchman was established in 2009, servicing businesses in the Greater Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky area. We install and service a variety of commercial low voltage systems, specializing in customized Fire Alarm and Access Control systems. Our vision is to be “Successful Together” from our contractors and customers to our vendors and employees. We are seeking a Network Cable Installer (BICSI I or BICSI II) Installer to join our expanding team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, label, test, and maintain premises network cabling
• Properly test and troubleshoot copper installations
• Troubleshoot network issues pertaining to the cabling infrastructure
• Identify and repair fiber and CAT5/6 cabling issues/breaks
• Provide input to Daily Logs
• Other low volt systems

• Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications

• Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards and best practices
• Interpret the job plan and scope of work
• Perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure

Requirements:

• Must have 1 + years experience
• Experience installing/testing CAT5/CAT6 or fiber infrastructure cabling and connectors
• Familiar with hand and power tools
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail

Basic Qualifications:

• BICSI I Installer
• Takes pride in craftsmanship

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 Certification
• BISCI II Installer Certification

Goal for this position:

• Achieve BICSI II Copper and Fiber Certification
