GCP&T Trail Sentinels to lead two night rides featuring region’s trails in October
Enjoy a free evening bicycle ride escorted by Greene County Parks & Trails (GCP&T) Trail Sentinels beginning at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, from Xenia Station to Beavercreek Community Park.
On Oct. 20, GCP&T Trail Sentinels and participating cyclists will celebrate the last ride of the season by enjoying seasonal refreshments at Xenia Station following the ride. Cyclists are also encouraged to decorate their bicycles with lights to commemorate the Halloween holiday.
Participants must be over the age of 18, wear a helmet and have lights. Rides will be cancelled in case of a thunderstorm.
The monthly night rides feature different sections of the 62 miles of paved multi-use trails managed by the park agency.
Easily recognized by their Greene County Parks & Trails uniform shirt and jacket, trail sentinels are trained by completing a CPR certification class and a skilled performance procedure.
