Greene County Parks & Trails Hosts Lightning Bug Hike

Greene County Parks & Trails’ (GCP&T) will host a Lightning Bug Hike beginning at 9 p.m., Sunday, July 2, at Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Rd., Beavercreek.

Rediscover the magic of summer lights created by the lightning bug as participants learn more about why lightning bugs are declining in population, how they communicate with each other and the different species in Ohio.

The hike will be cancelled in the case of rain. The hike is free but donations are always accepted.
