Xenia to Kick Off Neighborhood Night Out Season
The City of Xenia is scheduled to kick-off its popular “Neighborhood Night Out” event Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Shawnee Elementary School, 92 Ankeney Mill Road, in Xenia. “Neighborhood Night Out” is an outdoor information program spearheaded by Xenia allowing city administrators and vital community partners to casually interact with Xenia residents in various neighborhoods over hot dogs, snacks, music and fun.
“We look forward to hearing from residents as we kickoff our third season of Neighborhood Night Out programs this year at Shawnee Elementary School in Xenia. We will share updates about things going on in the City overall and hope to hear directly from residents about any concerns they may have in their immediate neighborhoods,” said Xenia City Manager Brent Merriman.
In addition to Xenia Community Schools, Greene Memorial Hospital, the Charles Young Buffalo Soldier National Monument, Kroger, Xenia Bouncy Castle, and Central State University, OhioMeansJobs-Greene County will join the partnership this year and will be on-site to share job information with job seekers.
Future Neighborhood Night Out Events are scheduled for June 13th at Cox Field, August 29th at Old East High School, and September 26th at McKinley Elementary School, all from 5 to 7 p.m. A raindate of April 11, 2017, has been set for the Shawnee Elementary Neighborhood Night Out.
