Join us at 11:30 Thursday, November 2, at the Xenia YMCA for Dick and Sandy will present “The Christmas Craziness…Spending, Saving and Shopping Strategies” at the next Women in Business Luncheon, which will be held at the Xenia YMCA at 11:30 on Thursday, November 2nd. This presentation will offer practical tips about how to save money and shop smart during the busiest time of the year.

Dick Gould has served as the Greene County Treasurer since January, 2011. As Treasurer, he is the “county’s banker,” managing its cash and investments. His office will collect more SBrubakerPicturethan half-a-billion dollars in 2017 and the investment portfolio is over $100 million dollars. Prior to this position Dick owned a Remax real estate brokerage and served as its primary broker. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management/Accounting from Park University and a Master of Accountancy Tax Track from Miami University. He earned both degrees while serving as a police officer with the city of Fairborn. He began his accounting career working in the tax department at KPMG’s Cincinnati office and later worked in various public accounting firms in the Dayton area before starting his real estate business.

Sandy Brubaker has been the Chief Deputy Treasurer for Greene County since 2014. In this position, she oversees the collection of over $6M in delinquent taxes, working with delinquent taxpayers to create payment plans to avoid foreclosure proceedings. She plans and directs the operations of the Treasurer’s office to coordinate collection of tax revenue in excess of $250M and total receipts in excess of $500M. Prior to this position, she worked as the Campus Director for Franklin University, where she assisted with establishing the Beavercreek Campus, and was the Vice President for Student Affairs at Edison Community College, where she worked for over 20 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from BGSU and her Master of Science in Education with a major in Counseling from The University of Dayton.

Women in Business meets the first Thursday of every month at 11:30 for lunch at the YMCA, 135 E. Church St. in Xenia. The buffet by Marilyn's Country Meals is $12 for those who register by noon the Wednesday before the meeting. The charge for late registration or walk ins is $20.
