Abraham Lincoln's Northern Nemesis Featured at Historical Society

At 7 PM on Monday August 8, 2022, at the Greene County Ohio Historical Society, 74 West Church St., Martin Gottlieb will speak about Clement Vallandigham, adversary of Abraham Lincoln. Vallandigham ran for Ohio governor during the Civil War while banished to Canada, among other controversial acts. Everyone is invited to this free event; light refreshments will be served.

Mr. Gottlieb will also have a new book available for sale. Gottlieb retired in 2011 after 27 years as a writer for the editorial page of the Dayton Daily News, and has been named Best Columnist in Ohio.  The book, retailing at $40, will sell for $25 that evening (cash or check requested).
