CSU President Attends HBCU Executive Signing

Central State University President Dr. Cynthia Jackson-Hammond was one of a select group of presidents of Historically Black Colleges and Universities who surrounded President Donald Trump Tuesday afternoon when he signed an executive order recognizing the importance of HBCUs.

The executive order is designed to strengthen HBCUs and to increase their capacity. In a statement, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, an HBCU advocacy group, said,  “President Trump’s Executive Order issued today is a significant and a positive first step in what we hope to be a productive working relationship on behalf of the Black College Community with the White House and Trump Administration.”
