Kingwood Solar Project Proposed in Greene County

Kingwood Solar is a utility-scale solar project proposed in Greene County, Ohio between Yellow Springs and Cedarville. With a design capacity of 175 Megawatts, Kingwood has the potential to power more than half the households in Greene County, create more than 300 jobs, add more than $1.5 Million in new tax revenue, and significantly contribute to a cleaner energy economy and healthier environmental sustainability in south west Ohio.

We are asking for your support in advancing our project with the Ohio Public Utilities Commission Power Siting Board division, who is currently reviewing our major permit application. On October 29th, the Power Siting Board issued a report stating that local opposition to this project is “prominent, one-sided, and compelling”. We need your help demonstrating that there are multiple reasons to be supportive of adding renewable energy generation to the grid and helping to decarbonize Ohio for years to come.
