Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce hosts “Build Your Brand” seminar with leading professional

PaigeAlost 004 Participants will learn to improve their marketing skills and create a strong “love of place” in their community at the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce Professional Development Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, with Central State University Extension (CSUE) Community and Economic Development Educator Paige Alost.

The seminar will be held at CSU Xenia, 334 S. Progress Dr., Suite 100, Xenia. Participants may bring their own lunch or order a box lunch from Sweet Boutiques through the Chamber of Commerce

Alost will present “10 Tips for Promoting Your Business and Your Community”, discussing ways in which small businesses can improve their marketing and branding while boosting their local economy by creating a strong love of place.

As a CSUE Community and Economic Development Educator, Alost provides education and leadership in 14 counties throughout Southeast Ohio. Her “Build Your Brand” series offers marketing and branding strategies for small business, food and farm, and rural communities.

Alost joined Central State University Extension in 2020 after serving as Executive Director of the Athens County Visitors Bureau for the previous 14 years, where she co-founded the 30 Mile Meal, Brewed on the Bikeway, and Ohio’s Windy 9 motorcycle touring campaign. She is the current President of the Ohio Travel Association, and has served on several other regional, state and federal boards. She has an undergraduate degree in journalism from Louisiana State University and has resided in Southeast Ohio for 21 years.
