GCPH Using Mobile Vaccination Unit to Reach More Greene County Residents

Greene County Public Health officials are working with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to ensure that as many people who want the COVID-19 vaccine are able to receive it in the easiest way possible, with a focus on reaching those for whom access to the vaccines may be limited. The agency continues to work with various partners in the community to address that barrier such as the local YMCAs, township administrators, food pantries, libraries and local events. In order to reach these individuals, GCPH worked with ODH to secure the use of a mobile vaccination unit that will travel to each community.

According to the state’s COVID-19 website as of Monday, June 7, 2021, Greene County shows that 44.95%, or 75,932 people, have started the vaccination series, and 40.33%, or 68,124 people, have completed the series (2- dose Moderna/Pfizer, or the 1-dose Jannsen).
