Karen Wolford

Karen Wolford will be presenting on the Dementia Friendly Yellow Springs initiative. She will talk about the process used and results to date. Also, she will discuss some facts about dementia.

She is currently the Executive Director of Yellow Springs Senior Center. She has served in that role for the past 5 ½ years.

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. She also has a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has worked close to 40 years in nonprofits. She spent 33 years working for the Girl Scouts of the USA at various locations in Ohio and Indiana. She was a Chief Executive Officer with the Girl Scouts for close to 20 years.

She lives in the Huber Heights area. She is the current Vice-President of the Yellow Springs Community Children’s Center. She also is a trustee with her homeowner’s association and sits on a number of committees with her church.
