Donations being accepted now for the USO Holiday Care Package program

The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center is partnering with the USO of Central and Southern Ohio to collect items for the USO Holiday Care Package program on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 from Noon-4 p.m. The below flyer includes information on the types of items we need to collect for the troops. In addition, we will be making holiday cards for the troops during our Express Yourself Saturday art workshop on the same day.

Individual cans of “Bing” drinks
Cans of soda
Cases of water
Justin’s individual Peanut butter Packs
Cereal bars
Pudding cups
Applesauce cups
Pop tarts
Cheese sticks
Individual cups of oatmeal, mac and cheese, noodles
Microwave Bowls of soup
“Tasty Bites” microwave pouches of soup or noodles
Tea bags
Individual drink boxes for kids
Individual small boxes of raisins
Individual size candy bars
Any type of energy bar, cliff bar, protein bar or nutrition bar
Snack size bags of chips, popcorn, or pretzels,
Travel toiletries, i.e. toothpaste, shampoo, condition shaving cream, cleansing gels, razor blade
