Business Advisory Group for XHS

Dear Chamber Member:

Xenia’s Business and Marketing Career Tech Pathway is in the process of recruiting new members to their advisory committee. Because of your working knowledge of the competency requirements of specific occupations, you could provide valuable advice, guidance, and assistance. Would you be interested in becoming a member of this very important committee?

Advisory committee members:

  • Update, modify, expand, and improve the quality of our Career-Tech courses
  • Support and strengthen the relationship between business industry, the community, and education
  • Make recommendations that will strengthen and expand the Career-Tech curriculum, and provide assistance in implementing these recommendations
  • Assist in identifying needs, determining priorities, and reviewing and evaluating Xenia’s Career-Tech business courses
  • Articulate long-term goals and objectives of the Career-Tech business courses to parents, employers, and the community

We have scheduled a meeting at the high school in B101 for September 22 at 3:30 p.m. Our agenda for that day will include updates in curriculum and equipment, an overview of the options that students will have when participating in DECA, a co-curricular student organization integral to curriculum, instruction, and assessment, at local, state and national levels, enrollment and job placement opportunities, College Credit Plus options, and plans for 2017-2018. We hope you will be able to join us. Please RSVP. You may respond by contacting the Instructor, Donna Atkinson:   Email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
