3 New Officers for the XPD

Xenia Police Division Holds Swearing In Ceremony

Xenia, Ohio (June 22, 2017) The City of Xenia Police Division (XPD) recently announced the hiring of three new officers bringing the police division to 44 sworn positions.

Alexandria Mumpower and Matthew Staley were hired as Cadets with the police division December 5, 2016. They both successfully graduated the Greene County Criminal Justice Academy and are certified as police officers.

Officer Mumpower previously worked as part of the adjunct faculty in the Criminal Justice Department at Sinclair Community College. Officer Staley previously worked with the Xenia Fire Division before joining the Xenia Police Division.

The swearing-in ceremony for Officer Mumpower and Officer Staley was held on June 16, 2017 in the Xenia Municipal Court. Judge Michael Murry administered a sworn oath to each individual.

William Jarrod Cecil was sworn-in as a police officer on April 26, 2017. Officer Cecil joins the Xenia Police Division after working for the Greene County Sherriff’s office over two years.
