Pedraza with BorderOur presenter, Kerry Pedraza, is the Executive Director of United Way of Clark, Champaign and Madison Counties.  Since 2013, Kerry has led the three-county United Way’s effort to focus on improving the health, education and income initiatives that create healthy and stable communities.

Prior to joining United Way, Kerry spent 15 years serving the citizens of Clark County through her work at the Clark County Department of Job & Family Services.  During her time at JFS, she served in several capacities ranging from Assistant Director, Human Resource Director and Director of Communications.

Kerry is a graduate of Wittenberg University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership.  She has presented at local, state and national conferences on various topics including leadership, collaboration, labor relations and human resources.

United WayAs part of her work with United Way, she has the privilege of being involved in many committees and task forces including being a member of the Executive Committee of the Family and Children First Councils in Clark, Champaign and Madison Counties, member of task forces for each of the counties Community Health Improvement Plans and the Nonprofit Network.  Kerry has served on various boards as a board member and other volunteer capacities including the Springfield Human Resource Managers Association, the Rocking Horse Center, OIC of Clark County, Leadership Clark County, Springfield Arts Council and St. Bernard Catholic Church.

The seminar is free for XACC Members, $25 for non-XACC members, and lasts from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Participants can purchase a boxed lunch for $8.00 or “brown bag” it.
