Holiday Open House at Greene County Historical Society

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, from 2 to 5 PM, the Greene County Ohio Historical Society is holding an Open House in the museum complex at 74 West Church St. All three buildings will be open and dressed up for the season. A special bonus this year is featured; the Miami Valley Garden Railroad Society will have a display of their large scale trains running, and anyone who attends is encouraged to vote in their contest for the best decorated layout. The Historical Society's Railroad Display Committee will have its permanent display running upstairs, as well as some suitcase-size trains that members have put together. A “make and take” craft, involving buckeyes from our very own trees, is planned for anyone (young or old) who wants to participate.

Admission is free, but donation boxes will be available. Please be generous, as the Historical Society has been unable to hold any of its fundraising events this year. All precautions will be taken to prevent the spread of illness; only small groups will be allowed inside any one building at a time, masks will be required inside all buildings, and social distancing is requested for non-household individuals.
