FLOUR AND COFFEE HUB ANNOUNCED AS STOPS DURING CHOCOLATE TRAIL BIKE RIDE

The Dayton area is in for a sweet treat as Xenia announced two of its chocolate stops during the inaugural Chocolate Trail Bicycle Ride. The Chocolate Trail bike ride is an all-ages, family-friendly event, where participants can choose from 7, 22, and 60 mile routes, each of which have chocolate stops along the way.

Chocolate delicacies from local Xenia bakery, FLOUR Bake Shop, can be indulged in regardless of the route a participant rides. “Owner Becky Hawkes was the first person who offered to participate,” said Nicole Clementz, the coordinator of the Chocolate Ride. “From cookies and cakes to fudge and scones, Becky makes amazing treats.”

Another local shop, The Coffee Hub, will welcome cyclists at the finish line. “The Coffee Hub is a beloved shop in Xenia that has recently opened more locations,” said Clementz. “We can’t wait for all finishers to experience the chocolate delights they bring.”

Held on September 14, the Chocolate Trail Bike Ride combines Xenia’s popular bike paths with everyone’s favorite indulgence. The ride begins downtown and takes riders on the road until the halfway point where they’ll take the scenic route along the bike path.

The Chocolate Trail Bike Ride begins at 8am on Saturday, September 14th. All finishers are welcome to stay downtown for the Community Festival. A portion of the proceeds will go toward revitalization efforts in downtown Xenia.
