City of Xenia Receives “Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting” from the Government Finance Officers Association

The City of Xenia has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the 2017 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). This is the 32nd time the City has received this prestigious award. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

At the City Council meeting on February 28, 2019, Finance Director Ryan Duke thanked the Mayor and City Council and the entire city staff, in particular Assistant Finance Director Jason Lake and the Finance Department staff, for their effort in achieving this award.

To review the 2017 CAFR or a report from any year dating back to 1983, go to the city website (www.eXploreXenia.com) and type “annual financial reports” in the search box. Follow the link to the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports page.
