The XACC 4th Annual Fall Golf Outing at Sebastian Hills Golf Course will begin with a shotgun start at 11am Friday, September 28. Like the Spring Golf Outing it will be fun and entertaining. Hole contests, door prizes, a raffle and a chance to buy mulligans will be featured during this great networking event.
The Chamber is seeking additional sponsors to help purchase or provide raffle items and door prizes. Sponsors will receive recognition on the Chamber's website, www.xacc.com, and in the golf flyer for their donations.
The 2012 Xenia Scouts Fall Instructional League will be held at the Athletes in Action Sports Complex on Monday and Thursday evenings from September 6th to October 15th. Each session (Twelve in total) will include small-group instruction and a controlled intra-squad game. Players will be separated into their age groups for instruction and further divided to compete in their respective games.
The weather was fine for games and networking at the August Business After Hour hosted by All Sports Bar and Grill in Xenia Towne Square. Everyone enjoyed the refreshments and participants enjoyed the challenges of shooting baskets, boxing, hula-hooping and more.
The July Business After Hours hosted by Security National Bank was “out of this world,” with an outer space theme encompassing the décor, the food and even the alien name tags. The Security Bank staff showed off the newly renovated lobby as members networked and enjoyed green punch and mini-moon pies. Check out the photos.

Everybody was ‘rockin’ at our April Business after Hours hosted by Phillips Companies. Almost 100 participants registered with the Xenia Chamber for the celebration at the construction materials and services company. Members enjoyed the refreshments available indoors and in the tent, strolled through the Phillips vehicles and memorabilia on display, and joined the Phillips family and employees to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the company. In business since 1942, Phillips manufactures and markets a wide range of construction and landscaping products, and provides services including excavating, grading, underground utilities and site development. For the next Business after Hours, Phillips Companies will prove it’s “still rockin’ after 70 years.” The event, with an extended celebration time of 4:30 to 7:30 Thursday April 12 at the construction materials and services company, will be co-sponsored by the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce and Dayton Homebuilders Association.
The February Business after Hours was “tres bene” when Legacy Village featured Taste of Italy in its lovely Community Center on the Legacy campus. More than 50 Chamber members enjoyed fruit and cheese hors d’oeuvres, a chocolate fountain and an Italian soda bar. The tables were decorated with photos from all the great Italian cities to add to an additional international flavor to the event. Door prizes included flowers and pastries. Thanks to Marcy Yeatts, Sue Hunt, Steve Throop, Rochelle Workman and everyone at Legacy Village for great refreshments in a beautiful setting.
