The Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce's Partners in Education has a new way to assist Xenia Community Schools when you clean out your office inventory.

Remember when Christmas shoppers roamed the streets of Xenia, carolers sang, and folks met friends in town to share the spirit of the season?

Relive that time at Xenia's Hometown Christmas event on Saturday December 11th. The fun starts with a parade at 1 PM, from Xenia Station up South Detroit Street to Main St. The parade will feature the Xenia High School Marching Buccaneers, Greene Acres Llamas, Diamonds and Pearls Dance Club, XTown Drum Unit, three horse-drawn carriages, and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

The State of Ohio through its Ohio Skills Bank program has recently announced the availability of funding for proposals that address closing the skills gaps between workforce supply and employer demand.

Greene County residents will receive an opportunity to spend some of the holiday season exploring historic homes throughout the Xenia and Sugarcreek Township areas as the Greene County Historical Society holds its 2010 Christmas Home Tour on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 6 p.m.
