To whom it may concern,

It has come to the attention of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Public Affairs that a woman has been misrepresenting herself as an authorized advertising sales agent for the Wright-Patterson AFB annual Official Base Guide. Unfortunately, we are aware of at least one Miami Valley business that has lost money to this person.

Please pass the following information on to your members and associates, and ask them to spread the word:

"The only company that is authorized to publish and sell advertising for the official Wright-Patterson base guide is MARCOA Publishing, Inc. Each MARCOA salesperson has a letter signed by Mr. John Klemack, Director, WPAFB Public Affairs, introducing and identifying them as authorized sales agents for advertising in the Wright-Patterson base guide. If someone approaches you about advertising in the base guide, be sure to check their credentials."

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our PA Current Operations Division Chief, Mr. Daryl Mayer, at 937-522-3252. And if you are approached by someone purporting to be a Wright-Patt base guide advertising sales rep without being able to produce the appropriate letter, please let Mr. Mayer know as well.

Cordially,
JOHN E. KLEMACK, CIV, DAF
Director, WPAFB Public Affairs
