The 37th Annual XACC Spring Golf Outing on May 22 triumphed over an iffy weather forecast to deliver the best spring golf event ever. Golfers enjoyed a great day of recreation and fun on a picture-perfect WGC Golf Course. The superb support of sponsors guaranteed our golfers special attention from checking in for their special gift sponsored by Greene Memorial Hospital, to the steak dinner and raffle prizes at the end of the day.
At the June Women in Business Luncheon, hear from a business and life planning coach whose own life is a blueprint for professional and personal success. Diane Dixon of 3F Coaching will speak at the Luncheon at 11:30 Thursday, June 6 at the Xenia YMCA.
The Xenia Area Young Professionals recently donated $270 to the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Program for Xenia Schools (Anti-Bullying and Social Skills Program).

Thanks to a series of fundraisers, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce’s Partners in Education Committee recently donated $500 worth of books to Cox, Shawnee, Arrowood, McKinley and Tecumseh elementary schools in Xenia. The committee, consisting of chamber members from industry, education, business and social service agencies, works to build partnerships for the betterment of Xenia Community Schools. Additionally, the group is sponsoring three $500 college scholarships to benefit graduating Xenia seniors.
Employers needing summer help may find assistance from the upcoming youth program to be administered by the Greene County Department of Job and Family Services.
The Targeted Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Summer Youth Program is receiving funding to allow youth between the ages of 16 and 24 years to find seasonal jobs.
Employable dates for youth are from June 1 through August 31, 2013. TANF funds will reimburse employers up to $10 an hour plus Workers Compensation and FICA costs for a work week from 20-40 hours.
