The Greene County/Xenia Community Library continues to host the Downtown Xenia Now (DXN) book club on Tuesday, February 18th from 5-6 p.m. in the 2nd floor meeting room. This month’s selection, Caught in the Middle: America’s Heartland in the Age of Globalism by Richard C. Longworth, will be led by Pete Williams of the Greene County Development Department.

Foundation President Brian Liming announces: “The Board of Directors of the Xenia Community Schools Foundation is excited and eager to spread the word about the work of the Foundation. This new website, along with our new Facebook page (Xenia Community Schools Foundation), will create opportunities for word to spread about the support the Foundation provides to the Xenia Community Schools.”
The Xenia Area Young Professionals (XAYP) recently donated almost $2300 to the X-Out Hunger program. The funds were raised by the XAYP Silent Auction of gift baskets during the Business After Hours Holiday Party.

The Xenia Community Schools Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the 2014 class of the Xenia Schools Hall of Honor. Nominees should be graduates of Xenia High School who have achieved remarkable success in their career, or anyone who was made a significant contribution to education in Xenia.
