East Second Street
The area, covering just over one block between Collier and Monroe Streets, is primarily owner occupied, single-family residential. Of Italianate, Greek Revival, Queen Anne and East Lake designs, these homes tell a rich and memorable story of Xenia's past. Waterstreet
The Waterstreet area, location of Xenia's first log cabin within the City limits, is bounded by West Second Street on the North, Cincinnati Avenue on the west, South Detroit Street to the east, and Shawnee Creek on the south. It takes its name from West Third Street, which was called Water Street in the 1800s. The area changed rapidly from humble log cabin orgins to elegant structures and styles. in recent years, the District has experienced a revival of elegance and pride thanks to residences purchased by people dedicated to renovation and restoration.
The Carnegie Historic District
The Carnegie Historic District is located in Xenia on East Church Street and East Market Street to the north and south, and Whiteman Street to the west and extending into the City of Xenia’s historic East End on Columbus Street. The neighborhood gets its name from the Carnegie Library located at the corner of E. Church Street and Edison Blvd.
