The City of Xenia is governed by an elected seven-member council that oversees a professional City Manager, Finance Director, and Law Director. Three elected trustees govern nearby Xenia Township. Xenia serves as the County Seat for Greene County that is governed by three elected County Commissioners who oversee a professional County Administrator.
The City of Xenia has top-notch professional Police and Fire Divisions. Xenia Township utilizes the talents and abilities of 50 personnel (combination of full-time, part-time and volunteer) to provide high-level services. Both the City and the Township provide paramedic, fire and rescue services. The Greene County Sheriff provides police services for Xenia Township.
A quality water and sewer system is provided by City of Xenia to surrounding communities.
