|The Friends of Xenia Station are sponsoring Xenia's Second Annual Junked Bike Art Competition in conjunction with the 2015 Xenia Community Festival.
Artists of all ages, whether as an individual or as a group, are asked to take an unused, old bike and turn it into a fun, quirky, fancy, beautiful, fascinating piece of art. These bikes will be displayed during the Xenia Community Festival at Shawnee Park on Friday, September 18th, from 4PM to 9PM, and Saturday, September 19th, from 10AM to 9PM.
Festival goers will vote for their favorite work of art, with a Grand Prize of $100 being awarded to the work voted Best of Show. First, Second, and Third place winners all receive a one-year Friends of Xenia Station membership.
Interested persons need to submit an "Intent to Participate" form with the required $10 entry fee, which was reduced this year, for each submission by August 15, 2015.
Finished bikes will need to be delivered to the display area at Shawnee Park, adjacent to the Armory between 9:00AM and 2:00PM. Contact FOXS at (937) 376-1080 if you need to make alternative delivery arrangements.
