| Description: | We have been developing goals and strategies to create a bright future for Xenia, based on what you told us during public workshops, online discussions and community surveys over the past eight months. Now we need your help again! You're invited to a fourth X-Plan public workshop to be held on Monday, July 16 from 6:30 to 8:30, at the Media Room at the Greene County Jobs and Family Services Building, 541 Ledbetter Road (same location as previous workshops, click here for directions). Additional publicity via a press release, web/Facebook posting, flyers, etc. will follow. The purpose of the workshop is to present the draft X-Plan strategies and solicit your input on what's missing, what needs to be changed, and what issues are most important to you. Or to put it another way - you've already told us what the destination should be for Xenia; this is an opportunity for you to tell us whether we're following the correct route! At this meeting you will discover that not all of the strategies are new, and some of the strategies are already being done. Part of the point in this process is to take the old and the new, gather them in one place, and re-focus them under the goals that you helped us identify. Then we'll develop an action plan and build partnerships to move the strategies closer to reality. We will use your input from the July 16 meeting to continue refining the plan and develop the action plan. There will be an additional public workshop in the Fall to review the final plan before it goes to our Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council for adoption. We also plan on setting up an online discussion forum once again, later this summer, to allow citizens to view and prioritize key strategies. Stay tuned!
