| Description: | Please join us in exploring the Ohio Department of Development's Discretionary Grants Program Mary Oakley and Carol Guercio of The Ohio Department of Development will share the Discretionary Grants Program. The Discretionary Grant Program provides funding for "target of opportunity" community development, housing, emergency shelter and special projects and activities that do not fit within the structure of existing programs and to provide supplemental resources to resolve immediate and unforeseen needs. So please join us on June 20th from 1:00PM to 2:00PM and see how your community can benefit from a discretionary grant! About your speaker: As an employee of the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) for more than 25 years, Carol has served in several positions within the Department of Development, including Housing Analyst, Housing Specialist, Downtown Coordinator and Field Representative. Ms. Guercio is currently a Field Representative and oversees the Downtown and Discretionary Programs. She is a graduate of the Columbus State University receiving a Business Administration Degree. Carol has continued her education in Social Work, Public Administration, Grantsmanship Training, and National Development Corporation's Housing/ Economic Development skills training.
