XACC Ribbon Cutting at Greene CATS Bus Shelter
Greene CATS, Greene County’s public transit service, invites the public to celebrate another milestone of our organization at the ribbon cutting of our first bus shelter on Thursday, October 25. Recently installed at the Xenia Towne Square next to K-Mart on R & B Investment Properties, the shelter will provide a covered space where riders can wait to make connections.
“We are glad that we can provide this enhancement to our community and hope our riders will find the new shelter a great place to relax when making their connections to another one of our flex routes” stated Executive Director Ken Collier. The shelter was paid for by a Federal Transit Administration American Recovery and Reinvestment grant awarded to the Greene County Transit Board by the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission.
The event will take place at the shelter site from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm. Refreshments will be provided as well a tour of one of our new buses. Xenia Chamber of Commerce officials and Mayor Bayless of Xenia will be on hand to assist with the ribbon cutting. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
