Xenia High School senior guidance counselors Becky Tittle and Jodi Yaney are "off and running" with students in the class of 2013. In fact, when a person walks into the Guidance Office at XHS, you can sense that this is the "nerve center" of a busy building. Mrs. Tittle and Mrs. Yaney are joined by freshman counselor Mrs. Susan Neuhart and Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Debbie Pitstick. Each of these professionals works expertly and intensely with a multitude of students and parents weekly while processing student needs across the spectrum. Read More...

Xenia Grad Returns Home to Teach

Following a splendid adventure in New York City at the American Music and Dramatic academy, Xenia High School graduate Kaitlyn Arnett has returned home to teach pre-school with the Xenia Community Schools. Kaitlyn is a 2005 graduate of Xenia High School.
Following graduation, Miss Arnett enrolled in the American Music and Dramatic Academy to further her talents in singing and acting, and to explore all of the possibilities for performing in the arts capital of the world.
"Living and studying in Manhattan for two and half years got me out of the small town scene. This is when I grew up the most," stated Miss Arnett. "I got my associates degree in musical theater and a bachelor's degree in fine arts." Recently, Miss Arnett graduated with her master's degree in education. During her graduate school experience, Miss Arnett served as a substitute aide and substitute teacher for four years.
Miss Arnett is loving being in her own classroom in the Xenia pre-school program housed at Central Middle School. "These students call me their teacher every day. It is a rewarding and amazing experience."
