Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations - Russ Remick Retail-Service Award

Over the past decades the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized individuals and businesses that have been devoted to Xenia and made a difference in the community’s quality of life.  We ask that you consider community members and businesses that have given selflessly to Xenia. Furthermore, we ask that you consider nominating them for a prestigious Chamber Award. There are many who make this a great community and deserve recognition. The richness of the nomination process depends on all of us.

This week’s featured award and request for nominations is for the Russ Remick Retail - Service Award. Initially awarded to Russ Remick (Krakoff’s) in 1985, this major award is presented to a company that “has distinguished itself in the retail or service industry”. The nominee “must be a Chamber member in good standing; has demonstrated innovation in product and/or process; been recognized as an industry leader in the field; has displayed honorable and ethical operation of the business; and has demonstrated pride in operation and facility”. This honor has been given twenty six times; TCN Behavioral Health Services, 3F Coaching, IHS Pharmacy and Nicks Restaurant were the most recent recipients. This prestigious award will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner to be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Greene County Fairgrounds.

Specific information is included on each nomination form. Applications are due no later than November 15, 2012.
