Perfect Your Pitch at October Women in Business Luncheon

Who needs to perfect their pitch? Ball players, singers--and business folk. But in the business sense, a "pitch" is an individual commercial--  a brief business or personal presentation to give when introduced. For insightful tips on the perfect pitch, join us for the next Women in Business Luncheon, when Toastmaster Linda J. Johannes will presents her expertise at 11:30 Thursday, October 4 at the Xenia YMCA. 

Linda,  a member of Toastmaster's International for eight years and a CPA  at Bradstreet & Associates, Inc. for 13 years, has been a Greene County resident most of her life. She holds degrees from Sinclair Community College and Capital University. She has traveled the world on mission trips and her activities have included white water rafting, ziplining and swimming in the Amazon.

The October Luncheon also will benefit the Xenia FISH Pantry.  For every three non-perishable food items donated, participants will receive an extra ticket for the door prize drawing.

Women in Business meets the first Thursday of every month at 11:30 for lunch at the YMCA, 135 E. Church St. in Xenia. The luncheon will be buffet style and is $12. You must register by the Tuesday before each meeting by calling or emailing Carole at the Chamber: 372-3591 or carole@xacc.com. Typically members arrive for networking between 11:30 and noon. Lunch and Introductions follow. (Everyone in attendance will introduce themselves and can make a quick announcement about what is going on in their business or organization). A featured speaker and door prizes follow with the program ending at 1:30. Guests are welcome to attend two meetings before committing to Chamber membership.
