WHAT: Cedarville University will preview the newest addition to the Cedarville campus, an $18 million Health Services Center that is home to the University’s newly-established School of Pharmacy and existing School of Nursing programs.

The state-of-the-art facility features classroom, research labs and high-tech learning space such as the only birth simulation system at any university in Ohio. It was completed one month ahead of schedule at a cost of $18 million. August 20 is the first day of classes in the new building.
Cedarville University and Danis Building Construction recently completed construction on the newest addition to the university’s campus, a state-of-the-art health sciences facility. The 80,000-square-foot, $18 million Health Sciences Center houses classrooms, research facilities and simulation labs – including the only birth simulation system at any university in Ohio – that will serve the university’s newly-established School of Pharmacy and existing School of Nursing.
Cedarville and Danis representatives will kick off the new academic year and this new major by hosting a preview tour on Monday, August 20 at 10:30 a.m. In addition to the tour, there will opportunities for Q&A, photos and interviews with members of the construction team, students, faculty and Cedarville staff. The tour will also highlight some of the construction innovations Danis employed to deliver the building one month ahead of schedule, including:
• A design/build project delivery method;
• Use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to speed construction;
• Multiple pre-construction mock-ups;
• Lean construction and pre-fabrication.
