 A Message from 3-hab

Please Note: 1-888-ohiocomp sent out an advertising piece which is false and misleading concerning 3-hab's handling of claims.

3-hab does not have ANY nurse case managers.  ALL of their case management is done by doctors and 3-hab is the ONLY  MCO (Managed Care Organization) that does have doctors, which is something 1-888 completely left out of their advertisement.  Therefore, all the numbers associated with 3-hab having 3 nurses are false.

3-hab has orthopedic, occupational and chiropractic physicians that approve and deny EVERY C-9 and who talks directly with the physician of record.

"Offering Light Duty Work the Right Way"

By: Nicole Hunter, Esq.

When your employees are off of work due to a work related injury, it is expensive.  In addition to paying medical bills and compensation related to the injury, you also face lost productivity and the looming threat of increased workers' compensation premiums.   When an injured worker remains off work for an extended period of time, you lose touch with him or her.  The injured worker then becomes more likely to lose motivation to return to work, and he or she may even develop secondary conditions such as depression which can also be a barrier to returning to work.  Fortunately, with a proactive transitional work program, you can assist your injured workers in returning to work safely while mitigating your expense and risk.

It is always in your best interest to try to get the injured worker back to work as quickly as possible with a transitional work program and a good faith offer of light duty work before the injured worker is 100% recovered.   A light duty job offer, per the Ohio Administrative Code, is defined as, "a proposal, made in good faith, of suitable employment within a reasonable proximity of the injured worker's residence".  So what does this mean to you?
