FACT: Getting organized is more involved than just time management. In this entertaining and fast-paced presentation, we will examine both steps to get your life under control.

1)    How to Get Ourselves More Organized

  • What to do if you are juggling too many balls
  • For better control - design an Absolute Yes List
  • The WADE formula of time management
  • Are you a Workaholic? A test to find out, and then what to do about it
  • SMART goals - Michael Jordan and Jimmy Johnson on goals
  • The difference between Urgent and Important

2)    How to Get More Organized Through Others (Boss, Co-workers, and Subordinates)

  • When to use / when not to use: e-mail, voicemail, face-to-face communications
  • How to deal with Time Vampires (the Mr. or Ms. “Have-You-Just-Got-a-Minute”)
  • The Admiral Hyman Rickover method of running a more efficient meeting  (a “tight ship”)
  • 7 Questions to Hit Your Employees’ Hot Buttons (or how to determine what really motivates your employees, and become “Boss of the Year”)

Young’s Jersey Dairy is currently one of the top visited attractions in the Dayton region with more than 1.1 million visitors annually.

Young received an undergraduate degree in business from Miami University and a MBA in management from Wright State University.  He has worked at the family business since 1964 beginning on the farm and in the store.

He currently provides leadership and training for a 300-person workforce, directs marketing and positioning of the company, leads the strategic planning process and is responsible for the financial performance of the company.

“Businesses and merchants may have an untapped goldmine if their store is located along 62 miles of paved trails that crisscross Greene County and beyond, says XACC President Alan Liming.  “As a chamber director and former store owner in Xenia, I appreciate the value the trail system can bring to our entire business community.
