Xenia High School Takes on Bellbrook High School in Goodwill Drive to Victory
Local residents can support Xenia High School (XHS) and Goodwill during the fourth annual WHIO-TV 7 Goodwill Stores Drive to Victory that pits XHS against Bellbrook High School.
Goodwill Drive to Victory is a friendly competition between local high schools that will begin at XHS on Monday, Sept. 6.
The XHS contest is being hosted by the XHS Student Council.
Each week, a Goodwill Store donation trailer will be placed at each school beginning Monday prior to that weeks game on Friday. During the week, Goodwill attendants will accept donations of clothing, household items and computers that are dropped off at the schools donation trailer.
Receipts for your tax deductible donation will be available.
Computers and book donations are a great way to add weight to the school total weight of donation. Vehicles may also be donated to the Goodwill event. Call 228-AUTO to donate or find out more details on how a car donation will add 1,000 pounds to XHSs total.
On Friday, Sept. 10, the trailers will be picked up and weighed. The school that has collected the most weight will be announced on Friday night during WHIO-TV Touchdown 7 and will receive a $100 scholarship from MidUSA Community Credit Union.
At the conclusion of the season the school that has collected the most weight during their Goodwill Drive the Victory week will receive an additional $500 scholarship.
