Habitat for Humanity of Greene County

Habitat for Humanity of Greene County is pleased to announce that they have been chosen to receive proceeds and help sponsor the Skip Wilson Memorial Christian Softball Tournament to be held at Rotary Park in Beavercreek over Labor Day weekend, September 4 and 5.

Habitat is seeking sponsors for this tournament. Sponsorship can be in the form of cash donations, which will be matched 50 cents on the dollar, or raffle prizes (i.e. gift cards, gift basket, sports items, etc.). Sponsors will be recognized on the welcome banner and t-shirts. The tournament participants and their families will be encouraged to support the business sponsors of the tournament.

Habitat for Humanity is not a charity or a give-away program. Habitat builds homes with families in need. Families are required to contribute "sweat equity" into the project as well as make a down payment on their home. In addition, the home is sold to the partner family at no-profit, through a 20+ year no-interest mortgage. By using these fundamental principles, Habitat for Humanity can provide a hand up to a family in need of simple, decent, affordable housing. We are building our 27th house in Greene County this year.
