August First Friday in Xenia: Featuring Live Music, Car Show, Silent Auction, Store Specials, Vendors

Xenia’s First Friday celebration returns on Friday, August 6th, from 5-9 PM, with a variety of things to see and do:
The Flower Stop (57 W. Main) will host a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and individuals, including gift certificates and event tickets. Proceeds benefit the Hometown Christmas in Xenia. The Flower Stop will also have $3 calla lilies and $1 daisies, as well as giveaways for children.
Fox Antiques is sponsoring a Farmer’s Market to be held in the Montgomery Insurance Parking Lot at the corner of Second and S. Detroit Streets. In addition to fresh produce, there will be “Minute-to-Win it” games with prizes.
All Sports Bar and Grill (124 Xenia Towne Sq) will feature the band Just N Tyme live on the patio.
In conjunction with a new book release, Blue Jacket Books (60 S. Detroit) will feature a window display of memorabilia from former pupils of the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home, as well as refreshments, a drawing for a gift certificate, and giveaways for kids.
CJ’s Boutique (72 S Detroit) will have a live DJ, $5 back massages, free refreshments, and a sale on selected clothing and jewelry.
The Greene County Road Runners will host a cruise-in at Xenia Towne Square.
Totem Gallery (31 West Main) is offering free temporary tattoos for kids and face painting.
Heaven on Earth Emporium (66 S. Detroit) will be making custom jewelry on the spot.
Entertainer Dave Davis will perform magic and make balloon animals in front of the Xenia Gazette.
