Greene County FFA Named One of the Best
For the third consecutive year, The Ohio FFA Association honored the Xenia/ Greene County FFA Chapter as a Gold Medal Chapter and Models of Innovation finalist for the Ohio FFA Associations National Chapter Award program at the State FFA Convention in Columbus, Ohio.
These awards recognizes the top 10 percent of all chapters across the state; one of 33 finalists selected from a pool of more than 300 chapters statewide. Additionally, the chapter was honored as one of the top ten chapters specifically in the area of community service and chapter development.
The National FFA Chapter Award program recognizes FFA chapters for developing and conducting a detailed Program of Activities (POA). These activities and projects provide opportunities for members to achieve success in the areas of student, chapter, and community development.
The Greene County FFA focused specifically on school and community development through projects including: paper recycling, elementary agriculture education programs, highway litter cleanup, homeless shelter fundraisers, free well water testing fair, and various community
