XCS Supt. Jeffrey K. Lewis honored with City of Xenia proclamation; day named in his honor

Representing the City of Xenia, Mayor Marsha Bayless surprised Xenia Community Schools Supt. Jeffrey K. Lewis. Ed.D.,  with the announcement that July 12, 2010 was named Jeff Lewis Day in honor of his years of service to the schools and to the community. The announcement was made at the July Xenia Board of Education meeting. He was recognized for his open door policy and ability to connect with all staff and community members.  Dr. Lewis will retire at the end of this month after serving as a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent during his education career. Mayor Bayless also worked with Dr. Lewis during her years as principal of McKinley Elementary School.
