Xenia Library Announces August Programs

Exciting and fun programs for people of all ages are being planned at the Xenia Community Library, 76 East Market Street.

August Children¹s Programs
 
A Preschool Play Date for ages 0-5 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Preschool children and caregivers can enjoy the library¹s toys, games, and puzzles.
 
Chess & Checkers for ages 6+ will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Mon., Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. Like to play chess or checkers? Stop in to find a partner and compare skills!
 
Go Bananas! A Family Fun Night for 3+ w/adult will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. Join in monkey stories and games, then make and eat a banana split! Registration required. Call 352-4000.
 
P.T. Reptiles, a program for all ages, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. Look at, learn about, and maybe even touch live reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids!
 
A Tween Book Club for ages 9-12 will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Aug. 19, at 4 p.m. Check with the desk for this month¹s theme.

Wii Got Game, a program for ages 8+, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Mon., Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. Fun and games with the Wii, Gamecubes, and PS2.
 
 
August Teen Programs
(for ages 12-18)
 
Make Stuffie Monsters, a program for ages 10+, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Tues., Aug. 17, at 3:30 p.m. Create a cute stuffed monster from felt. Registration required. Call 352-4000.
 
 
August Adult Programs
(for ages 18+)
 
Introduction to the Internet, a class for ages 18+, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Aug. 4, from 10 a.m.-noon. Learn the basics of using the Internet.
 
Internet Applied, a class for ages18+, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Wed., Aug. 11, from 10 a.m.-noon. Learn how to search the web.
 
A Book Club discussion for ages 18+ will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Fri., Aug. 13, at 10:15 a.m. Join a book discussion. Call for title. Everyone welcome.
 
Xenia Night at the Movies, a program for all ages, will be held at the Xenia Community Library on Thurs., Aug. 19, at 5:30 p.m. Join the screening of a newly released to DVD blockbuster movie.
