Xenia Community Schools’ staff, students, architects and contractors install construction signs
Exterior signs heralding the coming of five new elementary schools to Xenia Community Schools (XCS) were recently installed by district students, staff, board members, architects and contractors at the locations of the new buildings.
Fanning-Howing will serve as the architects for the project with Scaparotti Construction Group as the contractor.
The winning bid for the signs was awarded to Sign B Studios of Xenia as the first local business to benefit from the construction project.
"It's an exciting time for Xenia and Xenia Community Schools," says XCS Supt. Jeffrey K. Lewis, Ed.D., "as we move closer to the reality of five new elementary schools for our town's children. Final plans are now being developed for the schools with input from all of our teachers, custodians, librarians, technology team, cafeteria staff and more." Groundbreaking for the five new schools is tentatively scheduled for Winter 2011.
