Time to Vote!

In less than four weeks, the people of Ohio will decide what famous son or daughter will represent our great state in the National Statuary Collection in the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. Your vote counts, but don’t delay.

The Ohio General Assembly is seeking to replace the current statue in the Capitol of William Allen, a former member of Congress and Ohio’s governor from 1874-1876. To select a new statue, the legislature is seeking input from Ohioans by conducting a vote among ten candidates.

Voting is easy. For more information about the selection process and to download the ballot, visit the Web site http://www.legacyforohio.org/. Ohio residents may vote only once, but children and adults of any age are encouraged to participate. Voting ends June 12, 2010.
