Community Invited to Meet Final Candidates for Xenia Community School District Superintendent
The Xenia Community School Board of Education (XBOE) invites all community members and district employees to meet the final candidates for superintendent beginning at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, at the Xenia High School (XHS) Bob Hope Auditorium.
This is the final phase of the search to replace Xenia Community Schools Supt. Jeff Lewis, Ed.D., who will be retiring in July 2010, according to XBOE President Robert P. Dillaplain, M.D.
Final candidates include Don Armstrong, Portsmouth City Schools; Matthew Dill, Fort Frye Local Schools; Brad Neavin, Eaton Community Schools; and Deborah Piotrowski, Millcreek West Unity Schools.
Community members and employees will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the final candidates.
The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Bob Hope Auditorium (at Xenia High School) with the candidates taking a few minutes to introduce themselves. After the brief, general assemblage, they will meet with four different groups on a rotational basis. The groups will be composed of community members, staff members, parents, and the business sector. Each of these sessions will run about 20 minutes with question and answer. The evening will culminate with the foursome meeting the community in the cafeteria for refreshments.
Input from the community and employees will be used to assist the Board in determining the best candidate to lead Xenia schools.
