Help Provide Therapeutic Trikes for the Disabled *UPDATE*

Greenebucs, a local chapter of AMBUCS is part of the current round of the "Pepsi Refresh" grants program.

"On behalf of the 100 children who will receive AMBUCS therapeutic tricycles (Amtrykes)  from the Pepsi Refresh contest, please accept my gratitude.  AMBUCS finished in fourth place which insures the $50,000 prize.  There were several positives, besides the money that were reaped from this effort:
We learned that we have lots of friends all across America
We learned that if you really work at something it can happen
We learned that we are one of the few organiziations to be successful on our first attempt
But most of all we learned that peopel do care and are willing to put forth effort on behalf of those less fortunate.
Thanks to all of you who voted - and voted - and voted - and voted... I know sometimes it was a pain - especially when the website was extremely slow.  You are wonderful people.  Be proud of yourselves."

We have until the 30th of April to garner enough votes to keep us in the top 10 groups.If we do that then we will win the $50,000 which will be used to purchase 100 Amtrykes !!!  These tricycles provide both active and passive therapy to the riders as well as enabling them the opportunity to interact with peers and gain additional independence.
