Xenia Community Schools Set Open Enrollment Dates
The Xenia Community School District begins its open enrollment process beginning at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, and ending at 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 23, for intradistrict children who wish to attend a school not in his or her assigned attendance area.
The deadline for interdistrict open enrollment---students living outside the Xenia Community School District---is Friday, July 23.
Applications will be available at the Xenia Board of Education, 578 E. Market St., Xenia, at elementary and middle schools and on-line at www.xenia.k12.oh.us the week of March 8. Follow the Parent Resources link to the open enrollment form.
An application form must be completed for each child in the family who wishes to attend a school outside their assigned attendance area.
No completed open enrollment applications will be accepted by mail, by fax or in person before 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 16.
Applications are date and time-stamped as requests for open enrollment are received on a first-come, first-serve basis and are based upon grade level classroom space availability in the requested school.

XHS students and staff raise $1,080 for American Red Cross and Haiti relief efforts
Students and staff at Xenia High School recently joined together to raise funds for the Haiti Relief Fund through the American Red Cross (ARC). With a goal of $1,000, the group raised a total of $1,080 during the weeklong campaign. Xenia High School Swim Team advances to District Competition at Miami University
For the first time in ten years, Xenia High School is sending both boys individual and relay swim team qualifiers to the district competition at Miami University.
XHS swimmers advancing to the Districts include Sarah Middlebrooks, Megan Carlson, Audrey Martin, Emma Chadd (Girls 200 Medley Relay); Megan Carlson (Girls 100 Backstroke); Megan Carlson (Girls 200 Individual Medley); Daniel Charles, Matthew Fawley, Zach Young, Andrew Cole (Boys 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay); Matthew Fawley (Boys 100 Freestyle); Zachary Young (Boys 200 Freestyle); and Andrew Cole (Boys 100 Butterfly and Boys 200 Individual Medley).
Head coach for the team is Dave Fawley.
