XACC Committee Evolves to Meet Needs of Community and its Members

To better meet the needs of the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce (XACC) and community, the Education Committee has shifted its priorities and been renamed to reflect its new goals. Now known as the Professional Outreach Committee, the group of local marketing/public relations/communications professionals will focus on providing training on a variety of topics to local businesses and individuals.

"I’m very excited about the new direction of this long-standing XACC committee," says XACC President Alan Liming.  "The efforts of this committee bring additional value to all chamber members through training and educational opportunities.  With tightened budgets faced by all businesses and organizations, these free and local informative seminars have been very well received by our chamber members."

Recently, the committee has offered a series of "Jump Start Luncheons" on such topics as customer service, social media and business networking that have been attended by a standing room only audience.  Seminars are free to XACC members and have been partly sponsored by the Schindler Banquet Center, Holiday Inn of Xenia, Greene Memorial Hospital, Greene Oaks, Docton Animal Clinic and Elmcroft of Xenia.

Speakers are affiliated with the XACC and provide their services free to the chamber members.

Any XACC chamber member wishing to be considered as a guest speaker or sponsor at a future Jump Start Luncheon should email Alan (alan@xacc.com) or Chrissy (chrissy@xacc.com), or call the chamber office, 937-372-3591.
