Capacity Crowd Attends Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce Seminar "The Art of Business Networking"

Nearly 60 business leaders filled the room to hear “The Art of Business Networking” with Greg McGuire of McGuire Coaching LLC this past week.


The seminar is the second in the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce (XACC) "Jump Start Luncheon" series.  The events are free to all individual and business chamber members and are sponsored by the chamber’s XACC Educational Committee, a group of marketing and public relations professionals.

Information at the seminar focused on building relationships in formal and informal settings to strengthen professional success.

The seminar included The Power of the Ps; Unique Selling Proposition; 70/30 Rule of Listening, How to Work a Room; and Business Networking through Social Media.  Sales people, business owners, managers, as well as civic and non-profit organizations are encouraged to attend.

Holiday Inn of Xenia is donated the use of their facility, as well as provided drinks and desserts.

"The chamber is dedicated to offering growth opportunities and information to our members to make our community even stronger.  This seminar is our second in what we hope will be a long series of informative seminars," says XACC President Alan Liming. 

The third Jump Start Luncheon will feature Ted Janusz, a professional speaker, author and marketing consultant beginning at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 24 with the location to be announced.
 
Janusz will present "Twitter, Facebook and MySpace Demystified", which will concentrate on the business application of these expanding social media opportunities.  Participants will learn more about a form of marketing that always works and the correct use of these tools to market individuals or businesses.
